His proposal “Seeing Without Eyes” is a winner of The Linda G. O’Bryant Noetic Sciences Research Prize for (IONS) The Institute of Noetic Sciences.
Dr. Àlex Gómez-Marín prize winning proposal "Seeing without Eyes," tests the EOV (Extra Ocular Vision) concept. EOV is the concept that people can “see” without using their eyes. This is similar to how people have reported seeing during NDE’s, OBEs, and remote Viewing. He conducted studies where he tested if blind people and blind-folded people were able to “see” and report what they were seeing. Some were able to accurately read, correctly report colors and were even able to report seeing what Dr. Gómez-Marín was holding behind himself. Sight seemed to operate similarly to during NDEs, where people could see at 360 degrees.
Dr. Àlex Gómez-Marín is an Associate Professor at the Instituto de Neurociencias (CSIC-UMH) in the vibrant city of Alicante, Spain. Additionally, he’s an Associate Editor for the prestigious 'Organisms: Journal of Biological Sciences' and contributes his knowledge to the Science Advisory Committee at the Cobb Institute. Alex is a valued member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Dutch Brain Interface Initiative and is a director at the esteemed Pari Center in Italy.
