How to Find a Genuine Psychic Medium (11 Tips).

I’m Skeptical, but after highly evidential psychic medium readings, I have started to think there is an afterlife.

After my dad passed away, I was determined to examine if there was any evidence of an afterlife. One of the things I did was go and get as many psychic medium readings as possible.

I know it might seem counter-intuitive if you are skeptical like me, especially like I was. I would have considered a genuine psychic medium to be an oxymoron.

However, I have had enough shocking medium readings, and investigated the research enough that I have been completely mind-blown and definitely had my world view changed.

“If you wish to upset the law that all crows are black. . . it is enough if you prove that one crow is white.” - William James about Psychic Medium Leonora Piper

As William James (yes the William James – Henry James brother) said after his investigation of the medium Leonora Piper – “If you wish to upset the law that all crows are black. . . it is enough if you prove that one crow is white.” That white crow, that changed his mind that all mediums were fake was Leonora Piper.

After much research and many readings, I have been lucky (and diligent) enough to have found a flock of white crows (and no one is more shocked than me). So if you want to avoid the fake psychic mediums, either the con-artists, or the self believing, here are 11 tips I can suggest for finding a genuine one

Here are the 11 Tips for finding a genuine psychic medium from a Skeptic who investigated the evidence of an afterlife:

1 - They have a website with a set list of rates that are reasonable – no bait and switch $5 palm readings.

2 - They have a proper office or invite you to their home where they conduct readings – no window dressing and piles of crystal balls.

All mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums. There is a difference between a psychic and a medium.

3 - They know the difference between being a medium and being a psychic. They know when they are getting psychic information (information on the person getting a reading)  vs when they are getting medium information (communicating with someone who has passed away.) Note that all mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums.

4 - Give them a fake name and email address. Pay in cash day of or use a friend’s credit card to pay in advance. You will be shocked by the information they still can get if you give them no way to google you. A genuine one never would google you!

5 - They are excited to answer your questions (even skeptical ones as long as you ask respectfully.) They know how mind blowing their abilities can be, and are pretty curious themselves.

6 - They won’t mind if you record.

7 - They give facts and details about your loved ones personality, sometimes names, relationship to you, hobbies etc. Not generic information like – he loved you.

Find psychic mediums that have been tested and researched by scientists:

8 - They have been certified by a scientific organization such as the Forever Family Foundation or The Windbridge Institute. Those are the only two I know of that have science-based certification programs. And they participate in research with Universities such as The Department of Perceptual Studies at The University of Virginia.

9 - They get a little bit wrong and would never claim to be 100% right. Even the world’s best mediums, when tested, are only 90-95% accurate and the second best but still top of the world are about 80-85% accurate. Mediumship is more like charades instead of a phone conversation (although even phone conversations can have poor connections.)

Celebrity Psychics or Psychic Mediums to the Celebrities Means Nothing.

10 - Just because a celebrity endorses a medium does not make them top level. Some of the celebrity-endorsed mediums really are among the best in the world (but those ones that I know of are also certified by the scientists.) A few “celebrity endorsed” ones that I went to who are not backed up by scientists, were among the worst readings I ever had. But I certainly do not begrudge anyone marketing themselves through a celebrity the way anyone else would with their business. In terms of the highly skilled ones, I am really glad they are getting their names out there to help drown out the charlatans and hopefully change more people’s worldview about the possibility of an afterlife.

11 - A good one will not promise they can bring in the person that you want to talk to. If they are not getting anyone you recognize, they will end the reading early and refund your money. But if you want to talk to your brother for example, but your grandma comes in and you recognize her -name, cause of death, hobbies and your brother never “comes in” that is not a reflection on the skill of a medium.

Good luck in your exploration of this crazy paradigm shifting world!
